The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) recently entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on a program entitled, “ UP Open University Testing Centers in the Philippine Embassies and Consulate Offices”. The program will allow UPOU students residing outside the Philippines to take their proctored tests under the supervision of a member of the Foreign Service at the nearest Philippine Embassy of Consulate General.
The MOA aims to promote and provide wider access to quality distance education programs of the UPOU abroad, particularly for overseas Filipinos, in response to its growing offshore student population. Details on the implementation of this project will follow.
