29 August 2019, Toronto – After the successful official launch of Winter Escapade 7 – It’s More Fun in the Philippines (WE-IMFIT PH 7) by the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa, the Philippine Consulate General in Toronto launched WE7 on 27 August 2019. An estimated 50 people attended the launch at Sentro Rizal Toronto of the Philippine Consulate General.

WE-IMFIT PH was organized by the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa, the Philippine Consulates General in Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary, as well as the Philippine Honorary Consulates General in Canada, in cooperation with the Department of Tourism, for the Filipino-Canadians and tourists from Canada, to experience and revisit the unique richness of the Philippines – its heritage, culture and incomparable beauty and charm.

WE7 will bring snowbirds from Canada and the USA, to the historical places of Manila, Bataan and Clark, and the spectacular white sand beaches of Boracay, from 15 to 22 January 2020.

Consul Edna May Lazaro briefed the audience on the itinerary of the tour. Previous participants of WE shared their exciting and memorable experiences while Philippine Airlines announced their ongoing airfare promotions to attract interested WE7 participants to take the only airline that has direct flights from Canada to Manila.

Several launch attendees and interested WE7 participants expressed their anticipation on visiting Boracay island after the clean-up. END.
