The Philippine Consulate General Supports b2Bpreneur Workshop

Toronto, 23 April 2023 – Bata to Batapreneur or b2Bpreneur , a non-profit organization established to promote and develop the entrepreneurial skills of children ages 6 to 29, held the last day of its series of workshops on 23 April 2023 which was attended by the representatives of the Philippine Consulate General in Toronto as a show of support to the educational and empowering programs of b2Bpreneur.

The Minister of Education of Ontario, Mr. Stephen Lecce, was the keynote speaker during the workshop. He shared with the young audience the inspiring story of the emigration of his Italian parents to Canada which served as a motivation for his success. Minister Lecce encouraged the children of Filipino descent to thrive in their studies especially in STEM education. He also shared that educational robotics will be integrated soon in Ontario’s school curriculum. Minister Lecce believes in the innate ingenuity and passion of the children to learn.

One of the guest speakers during the b2Bpreneur workshop, Dr. Eileen de Villa, Chief Medical Officer of Toronto, emphasized and reiterated the importance of mental health.
The other guest speakers in the series of workshops presented on the four (4) pillars of b2Bpreneur: financial literacy, arts in business, technology & innovation and social ecology.
b2Bpreneur which was founded by Ms. Janet Lim, collaborates with community mobilizers, provincial and local leaders, as well as local businesses in organizing workshops and events that allow children to realize their potential in business entrepreneurship and learn the value of financial education at an early age.
