PHILIPPINE CONSULATE GENERAL IN TORONTO CONDUCTS CONSULAR SERVICES AND OAV REGISTRATION IN THORNTON, ONTARIO

15 October 2021, Toronto, Ontario – The Philippine Consulate General in Toronto is pleased to inform that a consular team led by Consul General Orontes V. Castro conducted a Consular Outreach Mission in Thornton, Ontario on 09 October 2021.
The Overseas Filipino applicants were thankful to the consular team for undertaking another outreach mission and for providing consular and other services to Overseas Filipinos in Manitoba. The consular outreach mission was supported by the Filipino Achievers Canada (FAC) led by its President, Ms. Corie Laraya Coutts.
A total of 78 consular services (including 45 Overseas Absentee Voters registration) were extended to Overseas Filipinos in Thornton, Ontario covering the communities in Simcoe County which includes the neighboring cities and towns of Barrie, Orilla, Collingwood, Innisfil, Midland, etc. Among the applicants who availed of the consular services were members of Migrante Ontario and Canada.
The other members of the Consular Team were: Consul Rodney Jonas Sumague, Ms. Ms. Winnie S. Simbajan (Finance Officer), Mr. Laurel B. Dela Cruz (Property Officer), Ms. Marilyn V. Galanza (Consular Assistant), Mr. Errol S. Reyes (Communications Officer), Mr. Mark Ray Gil (Consular Assistant), and Mr. Oliver H. Baranda (Local Hire).
Another Consular Outreach Missions are scheduled in Mississauga on 16 October and in the City of Winnipeg, Manitoba in October and November this year. END-
