28 September 2021, Toronto, Ontario – The Philippine Consulate General in Toronto is pleased to inform that a consular team led by Consul General Orontes V. Castro conducted another Consular Outreach Mission in the City of Winnipeg, Manitoba from 21 to 26 September 2021.
The Overseas Filipino applicants were thankful to the consular team for undertaking another outreach mission and for providing consular and other services to Overseas Filipinos in Manitoba. The consular outreach mission was supported by the Philippine Honorary Consulate in Winnipeg
A total of 2,020 consular services (including 553 Overseas Absentee Voters registration) were extended to Overseas Filipinos in the City of Winnipeg, Neepawa, and Pembina Valley in Manitoba. Almost all of the 174 applicants from Neepawa who renewed their Philippine passports are working with Hylife Food LP, Canada’s leading pork producer that is located in Neepawa, Manitoba.
The other members of the Consular Team were: Ms. Jocelyn C. Roxas (Administrative Officer), Ms. Winnie S. Simbajan (Finance Officer), Mr. Laurel B. Dela Cruz (Property Officer), Ms. Marilyn V. Galanza (Consular Assistant), Mr. Errol Reyes (Communications Officer), Ms. Cherina C. Escobido (Consular Assistant), and Mr. John Dan S. Fajardo (Consular Assistant).
Consul General Castro also led the Consular Team in meeting separately with The Honourable and Mrs. Jon Reyes, Filipino Canadian Minister of Economic Development and Employment of Manitoba, and Monsignor Enrique M. Samson Jr. and the lay personnel of the St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in the City of Winnipeg.
Another Consular Outreach Missions are scheduled in October and November this year in the City of Winnipeg. END-
